Smash Or Pass: These Latest Food Options Are Making Waves In Select Markets

Foodies have plenty to rejoice about, thanks to the influx of exciting new menu options hitting the fast food market. From innovative treats to satisfy any sweet tooth to savory sandwiches perfect for lunch on the go, there is something out there for everyone. With a focus on both taste and creativity, these new eats are not only fulfilling but quite adventurous for consumers ready to try something different. 

Taco Bell 

Churro Chillers are milkshakes in four flavors: Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, Wild Strawberry, and Sweet Vanilla. Each Churro Chiller is topped with cold foam, and is topped with sweet churro pieces. These are currently being tested in select Dallas and Chicago Taco Bell locations.

Crispy Chicken Nuggets are made using all-white chicken marinated in a unique blend of spiced jalapeño buttermilk and can be ordered with special sauces: Jalapeño Honey Mustard or Bell. They were first tested in October 2023 in Minneapolis and are now in select Houston Taco Bell locations. 

Agua Refrescas is another new line of drinks infused with authentic fruit pieces and a green tea base to boost energy. The inaugural flavors include Strawberry Passionfruit, Peach Mango, and Dragonfruit Berry.  As of now, the Agua Refrescas are only available in Irvine, CA.

Auntie Anne’s

OREO Topped Nuggets is the latest snack to make its way to Auntie Anne’s. The brand combines its salty pretzels with crushed Oreo pieces and cream icing on top. These are available at select locations across the country. 

Chick-fil-A

The Pretzel Cheddar Club sandwich uses a boneless chicken breast served on a toasted pretzel bun with green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, soft seasoned cheddar cheese, and applewood smoked bacon. This handheld goodie is being tested only in Raleigh, North Carolina, though this could soon be going nationwide. 

Popeyes

The new Signature Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich is a marinated, hand-battered chicken breast. The sandwich is then topped with barrel-cured pickle slices and a brand-new signature hot sauce, which is different from the fiery mayo that tops their Spicy Chicken Sandwich.  Only Nashville, Tennessee, customers have had an opportunity to taste this new meal.
