Spotify and Universal Music Group (UMG) just inked a groundbreaking multi-year deal that could redefine music streaming as we know it. Dubbed “Streaming 2.0,” the partnership is about elevating the experience for both artists and superfans alike.
The agreement hints at introducing new subscription tiers, including a rumored “Super-Premium” option designed for die-hard fans.
The “Super-Premium” option, could offer perks like:
• Early access to new music
• Deluxe editions
• Hi-res audio
• Listening parties
• Q&A sessions with artists
The goal? To give fans more reasons to subscribe and keep them hooked, while boosting opportunities for artists.
UMG’s CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and Spotify’s Daniel Ek are qpromising more than just music—they’re talking bundles of music and non-music content, plus a richer audio-visual experience.
