StockX Addresses Nike Lawsuit Court Documents That Claim They Sold Fake Jordan 1s To Reseller: “We Stand By Our Verification Process As One Of The First And Best In The Industry”

StockX has responded to claims that they sold fake shoes to a reseller.

According to Nike lawsuit court records, a reseller previously obtained a minimum of 38 pairs of counterfeit Air Jordan 1s from StockX, even though they had gone through the platform’s verification procedure. The shoes were later confirmed to be fake by Nike after they visited the reseller.

Since then, StockX has shared an official statement:

While we can’t comment on pending litigation, we are confident in our legal defenses and have continuously supplied appropriate information in a timely manner. We stand by our verification process as one of the first and best in the industry, and in 2022 alone, rejected more than 330K products worth nearly $100M. StockX also has a Buyer Promise in place, which is central to our mission of offering a safe and secure marketplace for both buyers and sellers. If we make a mistake and incorrectly verify an item, we’re committed to making it right for our customers.

Last year, Nike filed a lawsuit against the reseller platform, accusing it of selling fake shoes and having an untrustworthy verification system. The case is currently still in progress as the shoe companies await litigation.
