Demetrius Green has been arrested after “Basketball Wives LA” star Sundy Carter accused him of drugging and raping her, and then posting the video to social media.
The incident took place in Philadelphia back in April, but four months later upon the release of the video, Carter filed charges with Los Angeles law enforcement with additional charges filed in Philly. As a result, on September 21, Philadelphia police arrested Green in connection to Carter’s allegation.
He was charged with three misdemeanors, including unlawful dissemination of an intimate image, possession of an instrument of crime with intent to employ it criminally, and harassment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I never thought I would be apart of the #metoo movement,” Carter told The Blast at the time of Green’s arrest. “No one should ever be taken advantage of, whether it’s revenge porn or someone slipping a substance in your drink. Unfortunately, I experienced this. I’ve pressed charges with hopes that justice will prevail.”
In addition to the revenge porn claim, Carter tried to attach a rape charge, as she maintained that Green sexually assaulted her in the incident. Unfortunately, the DA did not agree, claiming there was not enough evidence to charge him with that. Green’s bail was set at $2,500 and he bonded out the same day he was arrested. ⠀⠀
Green will appear in court Thursday in Philadelphia to fight the charges. Carter plans to confront her alleged abuser face to face.
