Taco Bell is throwing its hat into the fried chicken ring for a limited time. The chain best known for tacos will add Crispy Chicken Wings to the menu beginning January 6 in its US locations.
Each order will contain five bone-in wings and be coated in a Mexican Queso seasoning. Each order will be served with a spicy ranch sauce for dipping.Â
The limited-edition menu item will only be around for one week. The wings will be available to order after 2 p.m. and run you $5.99.
In addition to the wings, a Chipotle Cheddar Chalupa will be added to the menu. It will come in various meat and plant-based options and be served with a creamy chipotle sauce. A Beefy Melt Burrito and Fiesta Veggie Burrito will also be added to the menu late next month.Â
Taco Bell is adding the Island Berry Freeze along with the new food options. The frozen beverage will come in either Wild Strawberry or Blue Rasberry flavors and comes with a swirl of tropical cream.
Hopefully, the new menu items satisfy customers who were disappointed when the chain significantly reduced its menu last year. Items including the Mexican Pizza, spicy chicken, and Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes were eliminated. It caused such an uproar among the chain’s fans that some things ended back on the menu.
