Kanye is known to never be the one to hold his tongue, and he definitely didn’t while being a guest on Drinking Champs. Kanye mentioned a few things about Talib Kweli, and apparently, it didn’t sit well with Kweli.
The back and forth between the two came after Kanye didn’t have kind words to say about Talib Kweli. When asked who he would pick out of Common and Kweli, Ye chose Common. But knowing Kanye, everything comes with criticism.
“Definitely Common. … Common is a thousand times better rapper than Kweli, You asked me my opinion. My opinion is that everybody knows that Common [is better]. The only thing I don’t like about Common is he, like, works for the Democrats. … John Legend-a** n***as, bro,” Kanye said.
Now if you don’t know, Kweli and Ye issues initially stem from Talib not feeling Kanye endorsing Donald Trump.
However, Kweli spoke with TMZ saying he doesn’t have a bone to pick with Ye. The New York rapper says he’s actually honored to be compared to Common. Now Talib did throw some shots back at Kanye when responding to Ye talking about Kweli’s love for wearing baseball hats.
