Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Alleged Kidnapper Shares Statement; Claims The Rapper Staged The Incident for Sympathy: “He Thought It Was Believable”

The alleged robber and kidnapper of performer 6ix9ine has released a statement about the 2018 incident.

Anthony “Harv” Ellison is accused of robbing and kidnapping Tekashi 6ix9ine back in July 2018. The Brooklyn native’s trial has gone on for the past two weeks now, and jury deliberations began on Wednesday. During the trial, several people involved in the incident took the stand to give their side of the story, including 6ix9ine, his driver, Jorge River, police, and medical personnel.

However, Ellison has yet to give his account. Instead, his representative, Camille Cushman, issued a statement exclusively to Complex that details Ellison’s side. Ellison’s rep claims that he was “promised” by federal agents that he “would be home in weeks” if he corroborated their version of events instead of his own. Cushman claims that the officers said Ellison’s arrest was “business, not personal.” Ellison maintains the story that 6ix9ine orchestrated the robbery himself.

“Danny didn’t care if the stunt could be taken as embarrassing, he thought it was believable,” Ellison says in the statement. “He said it would even make some people feel bad for him, which was good after all the trolling he had done. It worked, even Shotti bought it.” Cushman says that the government is relying more on jurors’ attitudes than facts: “These prosecutors are relying more on the jurors’ bias towards gang culture than they are on real evidence. They’ve been forcing puzzle pieces together that clearly don’t fit.”

The government was able to prove that Ellison was a loyal and protective member of 6ix9ine’s team, but they failed to produce evidence that would prove Ellison has done anything he was charged for related to the incident.
