Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, who boasts a staggering net worth of $3.5 billion, just dropped a cool $70 million on a custom Gulfstream 650ER jet fit for a GOAT.
MJ decked out his new ride with a slick silver and black elephant motif, an apparent nod to his iconic kicks. Of course, the Jumpman logo makes a grand appearance in a giant white print on the tail. Even the tail number has a unique Jordan flare. The number N236MJ represents the “23” from his legendary jersey, the six championships he racked up, and his initials.
Registered under MJ Air LLC, this Gulfstream beast isn’t just for show. It holds the record for the fastest, farthest flight in business aviation history, powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines. It’s got room for 19 passengers plus a crew of four, perfect for his five children and grandchild.
With a range of up to 13 hours without refueling, Jordan and his crew can glide across continents in sheer luxury. Inside, this jet is decked out with oversized leather recliners at every window, a separate dining area for meals, a fully stocked LED-lit bar, and for those long-haul trips, MJ has his very own private bedroom.
Maintaining this beautiful aircraft costs nearly $1.9 million a year, including fuel, crew, engine overhauls, and insurance. However, thanks to his many business endeavors such as DraftKings and Nascar, in addition to his lucrative Jordan Brand, this is a mere chump change for the NBA Hall-of-Famer.
This toy is just the latest in Jordan’s impressive arsenal, which also includes a yacht appropriately named Joy for those sea escapes.
