Tee Grizzley is paying homage to Barack Obama with a new custom piece dedicated to the former president.

The Detroit star first previewed the creation in March. Over the weekend, he took to Instagram to show more details of his stunning design, made by Saint Jewels. The sculpture-style pendant, covered in diamonds, features a detailed likeness of Obama. The accompanying Cuban link chain includes a nod to the 44th president as well, with the clasp encrusted with a diamond American flag. On the back of the pendant, Grizzley had the words “Barack Blizzard” engraved.
It’s unclear how much Grizzley spent on the one-of-a-kind piece, but considering Rick Ross dropped $1.5 million on a similar trinket of his own face in 2010, it wouldn’t be a shock if Grizzley shelled out a comparable amount. Still, for the rapper, the tribute goes far beyond the price tag.
“I’ll never forget the feeling of being Black and seeing the first Black president,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.
Grizzley also revealed that fellow rapper Central Cee inspired the piece after he saw Cee’s rose gold and diamond Queen Elizabeth II necklace.
While Grizzley has flaunted a number of custom gems over the years, this one easily stands out as the crown jewel of his collection.
