The Baller Alert Show: Episode 128 – “The Culture Deserves It” With Special Guest “Young Joc”

The Baller Alert Show interviewed Young Joc to discuss Love & Hip-Hop Atl, Fatherhood, His Night Club, and more.

Host Ferrari Simmons opened the interview by congratulating our “favorite cousin” on his morning show.  The Streetz 94.5 Morning Takeover show has had a great deal of success in the Atlanta market.

“ I don’t go with the narrative. People need to have a more open-minded approach when they talk about delivering news. A lot of people told me to always go with a public option, but I like to give my perspective, and I think it puts me in a more open space,” Joc said.

Producer/Host Octavia March touched base on Love and Hip-hop Atlanta. The new season was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Joc, The cast is filled with fan favorites and cast members share some very personal moments.

“I was tested for Covid 8 times before testing. Once I flew to Tulsa, I had to quarantine for 72 hours alone and take another test. After that, we took a test everyday. It was a dope family vibe. It’s going to start getting crazy because, with family, you can have more inanimate conversations. These six weeks are going to be an eye-opener for a lot of people. A lot of things that took place have never happened in the history of this franchise,” Joc said.

“What does just remember who her mother is mean?” Host Su Solo went on to ask in regards to the relationship between Karlie Redd’s daughter and Joc’s, son.

“No shade, You don’t want to be in a situation where this girl hurts you to seek early for her mom. I put my heart on the line for Karlie a lot of times. Anytime I bought Karlie an opportunity, it wasn’t that she couldn’t pull it off. It was just because she didn’t want it to feel like I bought her anything. “ Joc said.

The rapper also touched base on his night club “South Beach.” He created the concept because he wants to set his club apart from others.

“I wanted a place where I can be an adult and sit down and have a real dinner. I appreciate the patrons who come in day in and day out. It’s been trying through COVID. There’s hand sanitizer all around. We have it sprayed twice a week and social distance. I’ll be happy when we can get Covid out the way.” Joc said
