The Baller Alert Show: Episode 137 – Featuring Special Guest, Lakeyah, Quality Control Music’s Newest Signee

Ferrari, Su and Octavia are back at it again with another episode of the Baller Alert Show! This week’s episode features a special guest — Lakeyah, Quality Control Music’s newest signee. The crew kicks off the interview with the self-proclaimed Female Goat. She talks about being signed to one of the biggest record labels out, new music, relationships & more.

“[QC] found me on Instagram. I did freestyles,” Lakeyah shared. “I think my first freestyle they saw was when JT got out. I did the ‘First Day Out’ freestyle and P posted me. Six or eight months later I did Lil Baby We Paid, and not even a week after that, [P] signed me.”

Lekeyah then goes on to explain how she manifested getting signed to QC, dating back to 2018 when she first moved to Atlanta.

“I saw their area in the Trap Music Muesem and said I wanna be signed to QC. That would look good on my chain,” she joked.

New Music

“[We’re] thinking about dropping a new tape this summer. I’m always working. There’s always new music in the works.”

She then expressed how it’s such a great time for female rappers to be in the music industry right now.

“It’s some hard girls out there. They eating the men up,” she exclaimed.

The show wraps up with Baller Alert in which Lekeyah gives her take on the listener’s question.

“Dear Rari, I’m pregnant and I don’t know who the baby belongs to. I’m not in a relationship so I move freely. I’m not hoeing around at all, but I occasionally still sleep with my ex here and there. I did recently sleep with my co-worker around three to four times and had a weird crazy night with my boss one time. I missed my time of the month and got tested and I’m pregnant. I don’t know where to start. HELP me.”
