The Boston Celtics are on a roll right now, and the Golden State Warriors could not slow down the train on Sunday. The Warriors were down by a record-setting 40 points at halftime, an embarrassing loss that has social media users telling Golden State to blow it up.
Draymond Green mentioned after the game that they decided to sag off Jaylen Brown about 15 minutes before leaving the locker room. It did nothing but put them in a hole they could not climb out of.
“We implemented our strategy like 15 minutes before we left the locker room… It didn’t work… I thought it was fun to try,” Draymond Green told the media after.
Brown had five threes in the first quarter, and fans were wondering why they decided to sag off of JB with Kristaps Porzingis out with a left quad contusion Sunday.
Steve Kerr was asked about the strategy after the game, and his answer was similar to Green’s.
“You try different things. You have to pick your matchups,” Kerr said to the media after the game.

Jaylen Brown joked after the game, quoting Kerr’s comments on x, suggesting that other teams should also pick up this strategy and implement it.

The Warriors scored 14 points in the second quarter. Starters were comfortably on the bench by the middle of the third for both teams. Jayson Tatum scored 29 on his 26th Birthday.
The Celtics have won 11 games in a row. With Joel Embiid and his health up in the air, nobody has looked as good as Boston in the Eastern Conference.
Jaylen Brown told Draymond Green that he and the Celtics were not ready during the 2022 NBA Finals. But he reassured him that this time, they would be ready. 140-88 is a sign that this team is ready to pursue the first championship in this era of the Boston Celtics illustrious franchise.

"This is an epic butt whooping. This is so bad Kendrick Perkins needs to take off that suit… We want to apologize to the American people."
