As we all remain inside our homes and away from the coronavirus, there appears to be another crisis lurking around the corner—a global shortage of condoms.
According to The Guardian, the world’s largest condom production facility is shutting down production due to the COVID-19.
Malaysia-based Karex Bhd., which makes one out of every five condoms worldwide, has been shut down by the Malaysian government to stop the spread of COVID-19.
CEO of Karex Bhd, Goh Miah Kiat, told The Guardian,” We are going to see a global shortage of condoms globally. My concern is for the humanitarian organizations in Africa. The shortage won’t be just a couple of weeks; we’re looking at months.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The company, which is marketed in the United States by Durex, was given permission to restart production at 50% by Friday.
” It will take some time to jumpstart production. Once we start production, we’ll we will struggle to keep up with demand capacity,” Goh Miah Kiat told the paper.
Last week, some New York City citizens received an announcement from health officials advising them” masturbate” during the coronavirus social isolation.
” If you live alone, of course, you can take care of yourself,” Dr. Amir Marashi, a Brooklyn-based OB-GYN, said.
Adult streaming sites like Pornhub are even offering free premium porn during the self-isolation. Die Happy Tonight, a New York-based members-only strip club, is offering virtual lap dances.
Regardless of how you approach the condom shortage, don’t forget to wash your hands and your toys with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after sex with yourself.
