The Game recently went on Instagram to criticize J. Cole and the entire hip-hop/ rap industry, claiming that rap feuds have become “watered down.”
“My level of disrespect has no limit & I can actually rap rap,” he wrote. “Fans gone choose up with whatever artist is currently safe for the culture to love as a whole but every real rap nigga in this shit KNOW who to play with & who not to.
“Hip hop/Rap or whatever yall calling it these days was already watered down, then Cole apologized and turned this shit into Kool-Aid wit no sugar.”
He then added to his IG Stories: “Idk who softer these days these rap n-ggas or the rap fans.”
His reaction was in response to a post by Ice from The Joe Budden Podcast, who wrote on X, “I want one of these rap n-ggas to diss Game. Just so ya’ll can see what a proper diss record looks like.”
Throughout the years, The Game has released over 10 diss tracks targeting rappers such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Sean Kingston, Meek Mill, and most recently, a 10-minute track aimed at Eminem.
With rap feuds and artist apologies, hip-hop seems chaotic now, but everyone’s got their own take, so who’s to say The Game’s wrong?
