’The Voice’ singer, Janice Freeman, died from an apparent blood clot in her lungs.
Janice’s family told TMZ that the singer was at home in West Covina with her husband when she started complaining that she was having trouble breathing.
Her husband called 911 and had to perform CPR on her until the paramedics arrive on the scene. She was pronounced dead at the hospital around 5:30 pm.
Janice had a history of serious health issues, including lupus, meningitis and cervical cancer- which she bravely beat.
Janice was a favorite of Miley Cyrus favorites on the show and was a member of “Team Miley” and made it to the top 11. She and Miley had a deep friendship, and she credited Miley with helping her after the show when she fell on hard times.
Her manager told TMZ that Janice hadn’t been feeling well for some time as she was battling bronchitis and complications from lupus. It appears that she succumbs to a blood clot that had traveled to her lungs.
