Tory Lanez is facing fresh legal trouble after being held in contempt of court in connection with Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against blogger Milagro Gramz.
Court reporter Meghann Cuniff confirms that during a November 14 deposition, Lanez reportedly refused to answer three key questions regarding his relationship with Gramz and their communication. As a result, a judge has ordered Lanez to pay a $20,000 sanction.

The questions focused on how Lanez met Gramz and whether he ever contacted her through texts or Instagram. His refusal to cooperate was deemed unacceptable by the court. Adding to the consequences, the judge ruled that the jury in the upcoming defamation trial will be informed that Lanez declined to respond.
Lanez’s attorney was also held in contempt for participating in the obstruction.
The defamation lawsuit stems from Megan Thee Stallion’s claim that Gramz spread false information about her, allegedly with Lanez’s support, after the 2020 shooting that left Megan injured.
Now, Lanez’s silence during this deposition could hurt his credibility when the trial begins.
