Tory Lanez has been laying low since he was arrested following the shooting of Meg Thee Stallion.
On Monday, TheJasmineBRAND reported that Tory, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, had been deported to Canada, claiming that ”everything is being kept a secret right now.” But, according to new reports, those rumors are false.
In fact, according to Hot97, sources say,” Tory Lanez is doing well in the United States and has not been ordered to be deported.”
The 28-year-old Canadian rapper was born in Brampton, Ontario.
The singer’s legal troubles erupted after the July 12 shooting that shocked everyone after it was revealed Tory allegedly shot Meg in both feet.
According to reports, the two were leaving a house party in the Hollywood Hills when an argument ensued. The pair were in a car together when shots were fired. Shortly after, Tory was arrested, and Meg was transported to a local hospital for surgery.
Tory is now facing a weapons charge as well as a possible assault charge. Meanwhile, Meg is healing.
