Tory Lanez has stirred the pot with accusations aimed at his former attorney, Shawn Holley, on a track from his new album PETERSON.
In the song, Lanez slams Holley for allegedly being paid by Megan Thee Stallion’s management company, Roc Nation, and accuses her of “losing my bail hearings” and “working for my accuser.”
Now, Holley has since responded in a statement, where she vehemently denied Lanez’s claims, calling them “meritless.”
“Mr. Peterson’s claims have been investigated thoroughly by the State Bar and proven–on two separate occasions–to be meritless.” Holley also revealed that Lanez’s own representative had admitted to her that his accusations were false, driven by desperation as he tries to find any way to escape his prison sentence.
Holley further clarified her position, stating, “Again, I have never had any relationship or connection to Roc Nation and my loyalty throughout the time I represented Mr. Peterson was only to him.”
She then dropped a bombshell, revealing that Lanez had actually asked her to step down as his counsel when she refused to support the defense strategy he wanted. “He is now sitting in prison, having used that defense in his trial. Maybe he should have listened to me.”
As the drama unfolds, it’s clear that Holley is standing her ground, firmly denying any wrongdoings while pointing out that Lanez’s current legal situation might have been different if he had taken her professional advice.
