Trick Daddy alleges that Nelly was paid a price he couldn’t refuse to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

During Trick’s Friday segment on 103. 5 The Beat Miami, he revealed that Nelly was paid $1.5 million for the controversial performance.
“First of all, Nelly, congratulations for that $1.5 million you got for that show. I wish they’d give me $1.5 million. They got mad at Kodak for getting a million for Tekashi,” he explained, referring to Kodak Black and 6ix9ine’s 2023 single, “SHAKA LAKA,” which raised eyebrows following the New York rapper’s snitching revelations.
It’s unclear how Trick knows how much Nelly was compensated to perform for Trump. However, the St. Louis star told Willie D that his respect for the White House and presidency was the driving force behind the performance. This did little to calm his fans, who have also called out Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, and Soulja Boy for hitting the stage at a Trump-sponsored Crypto Ball the weekend ahead of his inauguration.
Trick further added that Nelly was simply doing his job at the end of the day.
“It’s not nothing personal when it’s your business. If my worst enemy booked me to do a concert, I’m going to do that concert. If he booked me in a territory where I was beefing or I had what y’all call these days ops, I’m going to do that concert,” the 50-year-old elaborated.
Nelly has not responded to Trick spilling the tea about his paycheck from Trump.
