Trump Fools Supporters Again; Won’t Pursue Charges Over Clinton’s Emails

Clinton

Donald Trump used Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails as a talking point for most of his presidential campaign. He often referred to the candidate as “Crooked Hillary,” said her “lies and deception” rivaled Watergate and encouraged his supporters to chant “lock her up” at his rallies. Now that he will be in office, Trump has completely backed off the threats to pursue an investigation.

During Trump and Clinton’s second debate, Trump turned to Hillary and said, “if I win I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there’s never been so many lies, so much deception.”

However, he has now changed his mind. Kellyanne Conway, senior adviser to Trump’s transition, told MSNBC on Monday, that the president-elect wanted to “move beyond the issues of the campaign” and confirmed that Trump did not want his promised Clinton investigations to take place.

“If Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing,” Conway added.

Trump is already receiving backlash from his supporters. “Broken Promise,” blared Breitbart, the conservative website that promoted Mr. Trump’s candidacy. “Whoa! I thought we elected ‪@realDonaldTrump ‬president. Did we make him the FBI, & DOJ? His job is to pick those guys, not do their jobs,” tweeted Ann Coulter.

It looks like they’re not too happy with the decision the man they elected is making. How dreadful.
