Trump next stop for his crime crackdown is Memphis, Tennessee. During a recent appearance, he described Memphis as a “deeply troubled” city and said he plans to send in the National Guard, and possibly even the military if needed.
Trump claimed both the state’s governor and Memphis’ mayor are “happy” with the plan.
Memphis, like many large cities, has battled rising concerns over violent crime. Trump insists that the city needs outside help, positioning the National Guard as his solution.
Trump has already sent federal forces to other cities and says Memphis won’t be the last.
