Donald Trump made headlines during a rally in Las Vegas by proposing a plan to deal with the 88,000 IRS agents hired under the Biden administration. Trump suggested either firing these agents or repurposing them to address border security at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“On day one, I immediately halted the hiring of any new IRS agents,” Trump told his supporters, reiterating his past efforts to limit government oversight. He criticized the Biden administration for expanding the IRS workforce, claiming, “They tried to hire 88,000 new workers to go after you.”
Trump continued, saying his team is “in the process of developing a plan” to either eliminate those positions or assign the agents to border enforcement duties. “I think we’re going to move them to the border,” he added, drawing cheers from the crowd.
