Speed Showdown: Miami Dolphins Star Tyreek Hill and Olympic Runner Noah Lyles Gear Up for Epic Race

Noah Lyles has been in the news after making history at the Olympics, causing controversy at every turn. Someone else who is no stranger to controversy or friendly competition is Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Kay Adams was live at Miami Dolphins camp, where she asked the six-time All-Pro receiver how he felt about Lyles’ comments claiming that NBA or NFL players were not the true world champions of their sports.

Hill, one of the fastest receivers in the NFL, confidently said he would beat Noah Lyles and joked that he would put on a COVID mask after Lyles was caught partying yesterday despite saying he was sick with COVID when he won a bronze medal in the men’s 200-meter race.

“Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him,” Hill told Kay Adams. “Then he wants to come out and pretend like he is sick. I feel like that is horseradish. So for him to do that and say that we’re not world champions of our sport… just speak on what you know about, and that’s track.”

If Hill had left his comment here, it might have landed well with Lyles, but the last part of his remarks has potentially sparked a competitive back-and-forth this upcoming NFL season. Adams followed up by asking if Hill had the speed to beat the man who just won an Olympic gold medal in the 100-meter race.

“I will beat Noah Lyles. I will beat Noah Lyles,” Hill said. Adams questioned if he would win by a lot, to which Hill wisely responded that it would be close. “Nah, I wouldn’t beat him by a lot, but I’ll beat Noah Lyles, and guess what? When I beat him, I’m going to put on a COVID mask.”

Hill is talking really spicy to someone who is constantly looking for competition.
