Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is now facing a divorce just one day after police were called to his Sunny Isles Beach condo for a domestic dispute involving his wife, Lakeeta Hill, and their child.
According to an incident report, officers arrived at Hill’s 35th-floor residence on Monday after Lakeeta’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, called police claiming Hill had thrown a laptop and taken his daughter toward the balcony during an argument. Vaccaro told officers she feared for her daughter’s safety, calling Hill “very aggressive and impulsive.”
The ‘W.A.G.S. to Riches’ star confirmed that recent arguments had escalated and that therapy sessions had not improved their situation. She also said she was in the process of filing for divorce and accused Hill of becoming angry and throwing objects during disagreements. Despite the tense exchange, both Lakeeta and Tyreek told police the argument never became physical. Officers noted a bruise on Lakeeta’s chest, which she said may have happened accidentally during the confrontation.
On Tuesday, Lakeeta made the split official, filing for divorce in Miami-Dade County. Her petition requests child support, alimony, the car she drives, and the home where she and their daughter currently live. The filing cites the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
The couple originally tied the knot in November 2023.
The Dolphins issued a brief statement acknowledging the incident, stating: “We were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home… We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”
This isn’t the first time the couple has made headlines. Tyreek initially filed for divorce in January 2024, following a fire at their $7 million Davie mansion. He later blamed the filing on his attorney and withdrew it. Police also responded to another domestic call that same day.
