US Marshals Investigating Incident Involving Task Force Member Who Hit Handcuffed Suspect in the Face

According to reports, The US Marshals Service is investigating an incident involving one of their task force members.
A man in handcuffs was seen getting punched or smacked in the face as he walked out of a home in Jackson, according to a video given to WLBT from a Ring camera.
The US Marshals spokesperson said in a statement, “The U.S. Marshals Service is aware of an incident that occurred this morning involving members of our multi-agency Gulf Coast Regional Task Force (GCRTF) in Mississippi. We take any allegation of misconduct by our personnel or task force partners seriously, and we are currently gathering information regarding the incident.”
The handcuffed individual in the video has not been named, and the reason for the arrest has not been revealed.

One unidentified witness said that officers kicked in the door of the home when she was asleep.

She said, “They drug them, they hit them, and they was handcuffed through this whole ordeal.”

The witness also stated that the officers ransacked the home.

“The way that they came in and how they did them…it’s like they already got on their mind like, ‘they did this; you’re guilty of this,” she said.
