Vanessa Bryant is looking to keep her late husband’s legacy alive with the recent filing of the trademark, “KB24.”
Mrs. Bryant filed documents earlier this month to secure the trademark for an entire sports empire honoring the late Kobe Bryant. The initiative will include a wide range of experiences and goods in the form of websites, training camps, podcasts, television programs, collectible cards, documentaries, food/drink containers, t-shirts, digital items, and more.
Kobe, Inc., the Lakers Hall-of-Famer’s company, is listed as the filing applicant, with Mrs. Bryant noted as president of the company.
Mrs. Bryant previously stated that she’d go a different route with the release of Bryant’s signature sneaker after parting ways with his longtime partner, Nike, over shoe availability. However, the new trademark does not mention shoes as part of its intended use.
Vanessa previously filed for the “Mamba and Mambacita” trademark in March with the intent of using it for clothes and shoes, giving Kobe fans hope of a new sneaker collection being released in the near future.
