Vontaze Burfict has found his niche after his football career has come to an end with streaming on Twitch and interacting with fans. The former Bengals player has been able to show a more personable side of him since he stepped away from his professional career. However, he found himself back in the headlines over the weekend while he was streaming when interacting with a fan.
“I didn’t hit people after the play all the time,” Burfict claimed while playing Madden on his livestream. “Just the Steelers. F^&^& the Steelers.” This a strong sentiment that dates back ten years ago when Burfict can be partially blamed for the way Pittsburgh’s offensive core was dismantled.
During the 2015 football season, running back Le’Veon Bell suffered a torn MCL due to a dirty hit. This happened only six games into the season, despite Bell having already accumulated 700 all-purpose yards. Later that same season, Antonio Brown suffered a similar fate during the AFC Wild Card game. He was hit late as a defenseless receiver and suffered a concussion. Some argue that Brown has not been the same mentally since that hit. While the incident may have been personal against the Steelers, Le’Veon Bell has stated that the player responsible, Burfict, played like that against every team.

The ongoing feud between Bell and Burfict seems never-ending, Le’Veon suggested he wanted to have a boxing match with the linebacker. Burfict responded by offering to have a golf tournament together. The two will never see eye to eye in this nasty rivalry.
