Just one day after reports surfaced about Wendy Williams’ husband’s secret affair,Williams used her platform to dispel the rumors. Instead of discussing other folks’ drama, she cleared up the rumors during the Hot Topics segment on her show.
“It’s weird doing Hot Topics and being a hot topic,” Williams said, as she began to pick apart the exclusive report by DailyMailTV. “It’s some sort of weird story going around the Internet regarding my husband.”
After a longstanding investigation, the publication accused Williams’ husband of nearly 20 years, Kevin Hunter, of leading a secret double life with a younger woman for over 10 years. The report claimed Hunter had been splitting his time at the Jersey home that he shared with Williams and a home he bought for his mistress, nine miles down the road. However, despite the photo evidence collected by the publication, Williams says it’s not true.
“You can believe what you want, but….” She said, as she held up her wedding ring. “I stand by my guy. We commuted this morning.”
“All is well in Hunterville,” Williams added. “Don’t believe the hype and if there was hype, believe me you – I would let you know.”
As she ended the segment about her life, she said, “I’ll be following this story, so I guess I’ll have to watch to find out what happens.”
