Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr., has repeatedly criticized her caretakers for failing to properly care for his mother. The media personality, who was diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023, seemed to echo his concerns during a recent heated exchange with her team. The incident took place after the beloved talk show host attended her son’s graduation at Florida International University.
Captured by the “We In Miami” podcast, the altercation shows Williams visibly upset as she faces her caretakers while seated on her mobility scooter. She criticized them for leaving her scooter unattended and for bringing the wrong car to pick her up from the restaurant.
“They got the wrong car…They just left my s**t out there,” she said, expressing frustration at their lack of consideration.
The altercation continued as she demanded better service, telling her team, “They’re supposed to be ordering the car. That’s what you’re supposed to be doing.”
Despite the tension, Williams was excited about her son’s graduation, having even gotten a new wig and manicure for the occasion. However, her family’s concerns about her well-being persist. Hunter Jr. has stressed that his mother needs to be with family, not in a care facility, as isolation is harming her. Similarly, her sister and others have raised alarms about the quality of her guardianship and health struggles.
