In 2015, former Vice President Joe Biden suffered a tragic loss in the passing of his son Beau, who had suffered from a slew of medical problems including brain cancer. The former state attorney general of Delaware was survived by his wife Hallie and their two children, Natalie, 12, and Hunter, 10.
Two years later, the family has found comfort amongst one another, in an effort to cope with the devastating loss of their Beau. So much so, that amid the love and support, Beau’s widow found a new love in his brother, Hunter.
According to reports, the two began dating after Hunter separated from his estranged wife, Kathleen.
“Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that’s been obvious to the people who love us most. We’ve been so lucky to have a family and friends who have supported us every step of the way,” Hunter said in a statement to Page Six of the couple’s budding relationship.
Joe and Jill Biden released a statement as well, confirming the family’s support of the new relationship.
“ We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support, and we are happy for them.”
