A woman in West Virginia woke up after being unconscious for two years and told police her brother was her attacker.
Back on June 10, 2020, Wanda Palmer was found unconscious in her Jackson County home as a result of being severely injured on her head. After that, Palmer stayed in a nursing home, where she remained in a coma for two years.
Before waking up, police identified Palmer’s brother as a suspect because of a lack of evidence, and they weren’t able to move forward with filing charges against him. On July 12, Palmer named her brother as the person who attacked her. According to a criminal complaint, the suspect was identified as 55-year-old Daniel Palmer.
Palmer was charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding. He’s currently being held on a $500,000 bail.
