We’ve all seen stories about the lost city of Atlantis— and this could be the next best thing.
The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has opened the world’s first underwater hotel. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s right— in a beautiful two-story villa 15 ft below the Indian Ocean, this luxury suite offers a private gym, bar and luxury infinity pool.
The name is “Muraka,” which translates to “coral” in the Maldives’ language of Dhivehi.
The top floor, which sits above the water, has a “relaxation deck” so you can get some sun. The hotel is also home to Ithaa, an underwater five-star restaurant.
Wanna book a suite? This one-of-a-kind stay will set you back a cool $200,000.
The room goes for $50,000 per night, but you can’t actually book the Muraka for a single night. It’s sold for a minimum of four-nights, a $200,000 package that includes a personal chef and a private boat.
Parts of the Muraka were built in Singapore with special precision to ensure the protection of the environment, then transported on a ship. The hotel was lowered in place using concrete pylons that will keep it stable during rough waves or during high tide.
P.S- Those who book this extravagant package will automatically receive Hilton Diamond status.
