One of the men suspected of murdering famed Memphis rapper Young Dolph was reportedly attacked in jail by another inmate.
According to TMZ, Justin Johnson, aka Straight Drop, was punched by a fellow inmate at Tennessee’s Shelby County Jail while he was on a phone call.
Johnson’s lawyer told the news outlet that the 23-year-old was on the phone in the jail’s visitation area when an inmate walked up and punched him. No injuries were reported, and a motive is unknown. However, a rep for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office revealed they are investigating the incident.
Johnson was named a suspect in Young Dolph’s murder earlier this year. He is currently in custody on a slew of charges, including first-degree murder, criminal attempted first-degree murder, theft of property $10,000 – $60,000, employing a firearm with the intent to commit a felony and unlawful possession of a weapon.
