Young Thug’s label, Young Stoner Life, just wiped Gunna off their Instagram.
Fans have been speculating ever since about what’s really going on behind the scenes and questioning if YSL is truly distancing themselves from the rapper or if this is part of a bigger play.
As you know, Young Thug and Gunna were close enough to call each other brothers, but everything changed after their arrests in May 2022, when a major racketeering case shocked the hip-hop world.
They, along with several other members of YSL, were charged with conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and involvement in gang activities. The indictment accused YSL of being a criminal enterprise involved in drugs, murder, and other illegal acts.
Fast forward to December 2022, Gunna took a controversial plea deal, which many in the industry immediately labeled as “snitching.”
Gunna’s decision didn’t sit well with his fans or, more importantly, with YSL. Even though Gunna tried to maintain his loyalty to the label, his legal move put a serious strain on those ties.
Young Thug and the rest of YSL made it clear they weren’t supporting him on several occasions. Although Gunna claims that he didn’t “snitch” and that his testimony was purely to secure his freedom, it wasn’t enough to rebuild the bridges.
YSL’s Instagram clearly shows that Gunna is no longer part of their crew. They erased all traces of him, no posts, no appearances.
Despite his efforts to remain connected, the label’s actions show they’ve distanced themselves from WUNNA for good.
