Young Thug made a rare court appearance on Wednesday, showing up to support producer Metro Boomin during his ongoing civil sexual assault trial in Los Angeles.
Court reporter Meghann Cuniff caught a photo of the Atlanta star as he was waiting outside.
“Young Thug is here to support Metro Boomin in his civil sexual assault trial. I saw him in the security line when I was walking out for the break, and I did a double-take because whoa. He confirmed he’s here to support his friend,” she tweeted alongside the image.

Metro is being sued by a woman who claims it sexually assaulted her in 2016 after allegedly giving her Xanax and alcohol. She also alleges the traumatic event was later referenced in one of the producer’s songs. The case, which is civil and not criminal, seeks financial compensation.
Though Metro has denied the allegations, calling them a “shakedown,” the case has moved forward after failed mediation.
