Young Thug has interesting views when it comes to therapy, which he voiced during an appearance on “The Pivot.” The rapper didn’t mince words when talking about how he would feel if his girlfriend, singer Mariah The Scientist, chose to seek professional help instead of turning to him. Thug says he views it as a “slap in the face.”

“I feel like I’m not a man if my girl gets a therapist, like damn, you actually would call somebody and listen to what they gotta say over me…I just wouldn’t feel like a man,” he told the hosts.
Mariah the Scientist, known for her emotionally transparent music, has spoken in the past about personal growth and healing. However, Thug has admitted that his leaked jail calls and past infidelity have taken a toll. His latest comments now shed new light on the dynamics behind closed doors and how his views of masculinity may still clash with the modern push for mental health treatment.
Mariah has not commented publicly on Thug’s therapy remarks, though she’s likely to be asked about it in her next interview.
