In a surprising cameo, Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Sr., appears in Gunna’s new music video for “One of Wun,” which dropped on August 2. The video also features young athletes from Overtime Elite, including Tyran Stokes, Brandon McCoy Jr., Parker Robinson, Jayden Wilkins, and Romelo Hill, son of singer Monica and producer Rocko.
This appearance seems to further confirm that there are no hard feelings between the two YSL artists, despite ongoing rumors and accusations against Gunna. After Gunna took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, speculation arose about a rift between him and Young Thug. However, Thug’s dad has consistently shown support for Gunna, even attending one of his concerts in June. In a past radio interview, Jeffrey Williams Sr. clarified that Gunna’s actions have not negatively impacted Thug’s legal situation, saying, “I love Gunna… He hasn’t done anything whatsoever that can hurt us on this case. Period.”
Not everyone in Thug’s circle shares this sentiment. Some of Thug’s kids expressed their displeasure in a leaked song snippet, suggesting tensions within the family. Nevertheless, Gunna has emphasized that his relationship with Thug remains strong, stating, “It’s love, always.”
Though Young Thug hasn’t publicly addressed the snitching allegations, he recently tweeted support for Lil Baby, who has openly criticized Gunna. The drama continues to unfold, but for now, Jeffrey Williams Sr.’s appearance in the video shows a public gesture of solidarity.
