A federal judge has rejected R. Kelly’s latest push to serve his sentence under home confinement, even as his legal team claims the singer’s life is at risk behind bars.

Attorney Beau Brindley painted a grim picture in recent court filings, alleging that officials at a federal prison in Tucson, Arizona, tried to orchestrate Kelly’s murder by offering inmate Mikeal Glenn Stine his freedom in exchange for killing the disgraced singer.

“Mr. Kelly’s life is in danger, and that danger is coming from Bureau of Prisons officials and their actions,” the Monday filing stated. “Mr. Kelly needs this Court’s intervention. His life actually depends on it.”

Brindley also claimed Kelly was hospitalized on Friday after an “overdose of medication administered by prison officials” and later removed from the hospital “against doctors’ orders” and placed in solitary confinement.

Despite these serious allegations, U.S. District Judge Martha Pacold denied the motion Thursday, stating she “lacks jurisdiction over this matter.”

Kelly is currently serving a 30-year sentence in Butner, North Carolina, following his 2021 conviction for racketeering and sex trafficking.

Prosecutors fired back, describing Brindley’s allegations as “deeply unserious and theatrical” and “repugnant to the sentence that this Court imposed for deeply disturbing offenses.”

Meanwhile, Brindley revealed he is also seeking a presidential pardon for Kelly. “President Trump has been fighting against this kind of criminal weaponization of the DOJ… and we will ask him to now stand up with us.”

Victims’ attorney Gerald Griggs responded: “No amount of extrajudicial activity changes the fact that he was found guilty.”
