R. Kelly’s estranged brother, Carey Kelly, is speaking out again, and the claims are serious ones. In a recent interview covered by Vibe, Carey alleged that Kelly abused a teenage relative and said his brother has a “control problem.”
Back in July, Kelly addressed years of allegations involving young women in a 19 minute song called “I Admit,” where he also spoke about his relationship with his brothers. A month later, Carey released a song of his own in response.
In the new interview, Carey said his brother changed after the deaths of their mother and Aaliyah, and he pointed to the 2008 trial in which Kelly was found not guilty on child pornography charges. Carey also acknowledged that there is no DNA evidence or other proof behind some of what he described.
These are Carey’s claims alone, and Baller Alert has not independently confirmed them. Kelly has repeatedly denied allegations of sexual misconduct, and he has not been convicted of any crime related to them.
