Indianapolis police have arrested two men on warrants for murder and attempted murder in connection with a deadly shooting last August, according to Fox 59 and WISH TV.
Michael and Kenneth were arrested Wednesday. Police say the August 2015 shooting happened at a gas station on Lafayette Road on the city’s west side and killed Tamara, a mother of five who was a bystander. WISH TV reported that a second man, Joshua, also died that night after being hit by a car while trying to get away from the gunfire.
Police said the violence grew out of a dispute between the two men and a rival group. Reports say weapons were recovered when officers made the arrests. Arrest warrants are allegations, not convictions, and Baller Alert has no response from either man.
Tamara’s father, a Chicago anti violence activist, said he was grateful that someone may finally be held accountable. He traveled to Indianapolis to thank detectives.
