Raven-Symoné has found her favorite period product, and it’s a diaper.
On the September 24 episode of Tea Time with Raven & Miranda, the podcast she hosts with her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday, the 40 year old actress said her periods have “mellowed out” over the years and she has stopped using tampons. She gave washable period underwear a shot too, but said they “didn’t hold as much” for her flow.
So she went with disposables. “I am obsessed with the menstrual cycle diaper,” Raven-Symoné said.
Then she took it all the way there, joking that she wears a diaper all day with a little baby tee and a binky in her mouth while she runs around the house. Shout out Rugrats,” she said, laughing. “I’m thriving.” She also joked that she likes to sag her pants so the diaper shows.
Miranda had jokes of her own. She said she can hear Raven coming, comparing it to the sound a toddler makes walking around in a diaper. “That booty is poppin’ in a whole different way,” she said, calling it “wet diaper booty.”
She also wondered out loud if the whole thing might be “some inner child work” for her wife, but made it clear she’s not judging. When she sees Raven strutting through the house in a diaper, she said, “I’m like, she’s on her period.”
Under all the laughing, Raven-Symoné was serious about the point she was making. She said she appreciates that people are starting to “think outside the box of the period and containment” and that she wants everyone to try it. She did admit that disposable diapers probably aren’t the best choice for the environment.
Raven and Miranda have been married since June 2020, and their podcast has become the place where the former Disney star talks openly about her life at home. This episode just happened to give the internet a lot more detail than it expected.
