Ray J has once again apologized to Monica for his previous messy comments about their potential tour.
On Friday, Brandy and Monica shared images from their joint shoot for Ariana Grande’s video, “The Boy Is Mine.” Fans were thrilled to see the duo together again. Ray J also joined in the celebration by posting a tribute to the nostalgic moment on his Instagram, where he included a heartfelt apology to Monica for his past remarks.
“So happy y’all linked up— Monica, I truly apologize for being messy in my interviews…You both deserve to headline together! I PRAY THIS WILL MANIFEST INTO ONE OF THE BIGGEST TOURS EVER…Congrats on connecting! – y’all think it might happen?” he captioned the video.
However, some people criticized Ray J for bringing up the tour again, a topic that has been sensitive for Brandy and Monica. Back in March, Ray J discussed the idea of a joint tour during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club.” He suggested that Monica should be the headliner over Brandy, sparking a heated debate. Monica, who was recently on the U.S. leg of the “Pink Friday 2 Tour” with Nicki Minaj, immediately addressed his comments, stating they led to confusion and unsolicited contacts about a tour she hadn’t agreed to. Ray J was forced to apologize at that time but has continued to express his hope for the tour.
Fortunately, Monica took Ray J’s latest comments in stride. She posted a comment thanking him for his kind words and support, although she did not mention anything about a tour.
