Ray J is firing back after Kim Kardashian claimed his public accusations could jeopardize her dream of becoming a lawyer.
In newly filed court documents, Ray J dismissed Kim’s concerns that his past comments about her and Kris Jenner being investigated by federal authorities could impact her ability to obtain a law license. He argued that her fears are premature, stating, “For this ever to be an issue, Kardashian must first pass the bar exam, something she admittedly has not yet done.”
He also questioned how his remarks could realistically affect her legal future. “Regardless, it is unclear why vague, third-party allegations from [an interview] and a Twitch stream could ever ‘jeopardize’ her legal career,” Ray J wrote. “It would be the underlying wrongful conduct, none of which [Kim and Kris have] denied.”
The response comes after Kim previously told the court, “I feared that [Ray J’s] accusations would put my dreams of becoming an attorney in jeopardy.” She explained, “It is my understanding that, before becoming an attorney, the California State Bar evaluates moral character through a comprehensive background investigation, including investigation of allegations of criminal misconduct or dishonesty.” Kim added, “I’m worried that I would need to address these entirely false accusations and that they might be taken seriously.”
Kris Jenner also weighed in, stating, “To say that my daughter and I are being pursued for doing something worse than Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a horrific lie.”
Kim and Kris filed their defamation lawsuit in October. Ray J later countersued, alleging they violated a prior settlement agreement related to the sex tape. Both legal battles remain ongoing.
