Ray J Ignores Brandy’s Request to Stay Out of Drama With Shyne and Cam’ron

Ray J is making it clear that when it comes to his sister, he doesn’t follow orders, not even hers.

After Shyne and Cam’ron recently claimed they both dated the R&B legend, Brandy moved to set the record straight, calling her relationship with Shyne strictly platonic. However, Shyne doubled down on his claims and labeled Brandy a liar, prompting Ray J to ignore his sister’s request for peace and jump to her defense.

The entrepreneur took to social media to address the disrespect head on, acknowledging that while Brandy wants to handle her own business, he can’t sit idly by. “Look, man, I’ma keep it a hundred with y’all. I seen what Shyne said about my sister Brandy, talking about their relationship was pretty much real and all that. And then she come out saying it wasn’t nothing like that, basically calling it fake or whatever. But now he out here saying she lying. Come on, bro. I’m defending my sister, period. That’s family. Blood. I don’t care what nobody say,” Ray J said in his latest video.

Ray J revealed that Brandy specifically tried to keep him on the sidelines. “Brandy told me straight up, ‘Ray, I don’t need your help with this. I got it.’ She don’t want me jumping in, she handling her business her way. But I’m her big brother—well, little brother, but you know what I mean—I’m still gon’ ride for her. Ain’t nobody gon’ sit up here and disrespect or try to rewrite history on my sister and think I’m just gon’ be quiet,” he explained.

Questioning why Shyne is pushing a decades old narrative, Ray J urged the rapper-turned-politician to move on. “Shyne know what it was. Everybody in the industry know what the vibe was back then. But if she say it wasn’t deep like that, then respect that. Why you gotta keep pushing it? Why you gotta say she lying? Let it go, man. Move on. We all grown. Ain’t nobody checking for old stories unless you tryna stir something up,” he added.

Ultimately, Ray J’s message was a warning to anyone looking to use Brandy’s name for clout. “I love my sister to death. She one of the most talented people walking this earth. She don’t deserve this back-and-forth. So yeah, I’m speaking on it even though she said she don’t need me to. That’s what family do. We protect each other. If you got a problem with that, then say it to me direct. But leave Brandy out of y’all mouth if it ain’t positive. That’s all I’m saying. Love y’all though. Stay blessed.”
