The drama around Chicago Bears receiver Joseph Anderson went from a Baller Mail to a full blown online fight.
Yesterday we posted a Baller Mail from a Chicago woman who says Anderson led her on. She says the two exchanged loving messages and he even spent part of the holidays with her family, only to leave and get engaged to the mother of his son the next day. She shared screenshots of their messages to back up her story. Since then, Anderson has deleted his Twitter account and changed his Instagram name.
Last night, the woman behind the story was identified as Rachel, from Chicago, and people on all sides showed up in our comments.
One commenter who said she was Anderson’s best friend since the fourth grade came to his defense, saying she loved both him and his fiancée and that Rachel was angry the relationship was only physical. Another commenter, who said she was engaged to one of Anderson’s teammates, said Anderson had been around Rachel more than he was letting on, and that he talked down about his son’s mother. A third commenter, who said she was Rachel’s friend, questioned what kind of friend would know about the cheating and not say anything to his fiancée.
None of the commenters could be verified, and Anderson has not commented publicly.
So who’s in the wrong? If you knew your best friend was cheating on your other friend, would you tell her? Do you blame the other woman, or the man who made promises to both of them?
