Kim Zolciak-Biermann finally addresses Nene Leakes, including her in her lawsuit against the RHOA team.
On the recent episode of “The Nightcap With Carlos King,” Biermann speaks out for the first time about the suit. The reality star debunks Leakes claims of her making racist remarks during filming.
“[NeNe] knows what she’s saying is not true in regards to me,” she said. “That’s ridiculous, and she knows it.”
Biermann added, “I’ll deal with her when she’s done with them. You can’t say things that aren’t true and try to defame somebody.”
Biermann and Leakes have had a long history of not seeing eye to eye. However, Leakes made the claims of Biermann being racist after she said Leakes lives in a “roach nest.”
In April, Leakes filed a formal complaint against Bravo, Andy Cohen, NBCUniversal and RHOA production companies. The documents say, “NBC, Bravo and True foster a corporate and workplace culture in which racially-insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated. If not, encouraged.”
The lawsuit didn’t name Biermann specifically but it does cite Leakes claiming Biermann had made racist comments for years that went unchecked by executives. However, Leakes says she was the one punished for speaking to executives instead.
The suit claims executives “did not terminate their relationship with Zolciak-Biermann. Nor take any other meaningful action to put an end to her racially-offensive behavior.”
Leakes is suing for an unspecified amount that will be decided during trial.
