"RHOSLC" Alum Jen Shah Released After Nearly Three Years Behind Bars Following Fraud Conviction

Jen Shah is officially out of federal prison as of December 10, 2025, after serving nearly three years of her original 6½-year sentence, according to People.

The former “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star was held at the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FPC) Bryan in Texas and has now been transferred to community confinement. This could be either home monitoring or a halfway house under the BOP’s Phoenix Residential Reentry Management Office.

Shah originally pleaded guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud tied to a nationwide telemarketing scheme targeting vulnerable individuals. She was arrested in March 2021, sentenced in January 2023 to 78 months (6½ years) in prison, and ordered to forfeit $6.5 million along with restitution payments.

Her sentence was reduced multiple times thanks to good behavior, participation in programs, and early restitution efforts, which led to this early release.  She now faces five years of post-release supervision, including drug and alcohol testing and outpatient mental health programming. Additionally, Shah must continue making payments toward victims.

It’s unknown if Shah will return to Bravo, though given her personal life drama, this could make for great television.
