Love And Hip Hop star Rich Dollaz appeared on MTV’s Catfish in an episode about a woman who believed she had been chatting with him on Instagram.
According to the episode, a single mother named Sheila, 31, said she developed feelings for “Rich” after talking with him through Instagram direct messages. Dollaz, 41, told host Nev Schulman that the messages did not come from him. He said he does not control his social media accounts and apologized to the women who were affected.
“It hasn’t been me,” Dollaz told Schulman.
Dollaz said his nephew, Rove, is the person who manages his accounts. On the show, Rove explained that the account receives a huge number of messages and that he picks some to reply to. He described it as a joke he liked to play. According to the episode, some of the conversations involved requests for private photos. Dollaz said he was upset with his nephew and shared his criticism of the situation with the woman at the center of the episode.
