Rihanna is back in her social-justice bag again. The Fenty Beauty founder just dropped a $15 million donation towards fighting climate change.

Rihanna has pledged to donate $15 million to various climate justice organizations in the Caribbeans and the United States through her Clara and Lionel Foundation. The foundation has partnered with Twitter’s co-founder Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall philanthropic initiative. The initiative focuses on groups with female, LGBT, and Black and Indigenous leaders because their communities are at the most significant risk.

Rihanna chose to donate to 18 different climate justice organizations. These specific organizations are doing work in seven Caribbean nations plus the United States. The funds will be spread out between organizations such as Climate Justice Alliance, the Movement for Black Lives, the Indigenous Environmental Network, the Black Feminist Fund, and more.

“Climate disasters, which are growing in frequency and intensity do not impact all communities equally. With communities of color and island nations facing the brunt of climate change,” Rihanna said.

Rihanna has always been vocal about her belief in helping out with social issues. In 2017, Rih received the Humanitarian of the Year Award from Harvard University. In 2012, Rihanna launched her Clara Lionel Foundation. Aside from her climate justice fighting projects, the foundation also supports victims of natural disasters.

In November, Rihanna became the 11th national hero in her hometown of Barbados by Prime Minister, Mia Mottely.
