A claim from Rihanna’s father about her helping him through a COVID 19 diagnosis is now being questioned.
Ronald Fenty told The Sun that he contracted the coronavirus and feared for his life. He said he and his daughter spoke “daily” and that she sent him a ventilator to help with his recovery. “My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day,” he told the outlet. “I thought I was going to die to be honest.”
Page Six later reported that sources close to Rihanna said that account was not accurate. According to that report, the singer did not know about his diagnosis and was not happy about the claims. “He doesn’t need a ventilator, and she didn’t send him one,” a source told Page Six. Those sources were not named, and Rihanna has not publicly commented.
Whether Fenty, 66, has been confirmed to have COVID 19 had not been independently verified at the time of the reports.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has been putting her money behind coronavirus relief efforts.
